Hopefully the METS can make a come back from being down 0-2. Did anyone see a little incident in 1st inning b/t Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza? Clemens is just a freaking hot temper jerk IMO...

Clemens IS a jerk. BoSox fans always felt angry toward him for leaving to NY, but I don't think it's any loss. Clemens is getting old, he'll retire eventually... No big loss.

Pedro Martinez is three times the man Clemens is!

How can he say there was no intent when he threw the bat? Even if he just meant to throw it in his direction that's intent. Then there is the fact that he could have just said "sorry didn't mean anything by it". But as always Clemens refuses to apoligize for his actions. If I am a Yankee hitter I am praying that there are no blowouts the rest of the way cause those beanballs will be flying.

Clemens was the worst trade ever. He doesn't belong to this yankee team. What a freakin' disgrace for the new yankee personality.
I don't care how well he did in the last 2 games, he belongs to teams like red sucks.

Go Yankees!
SWEEP!
14 and counting

Never was a problem for Nolan Ryan. Same style of pitching and I don't recall an opposing pitcher knocking him down. No, Roger shouldn't have thrown the bat in the direction of Piazza but Piazza could have put an end to this madness long ago as Biggio did. Biggio was taken out in a play at second with an injury that ended his season. He quickly informed the media that the infielder was just doing his job. Piazza has continued to stoke the fires in what appears to be an effort to stimulate his ballclub. Clemens did not throw at Piazza but up in the strike zone to back him off the plate as he's always pitched..as Ryan pitched, and many others. It's called protecting the plate.

Regarding the broken bat incident, lest you become too critical, have you never experienced a moment when you've lost it and done something you regretted? Let he who has never sinned.......
