I got this joke from cl forum thought might as well post it up here...


A lady walks into a Lexus dealership.

She browses around, then spots the perfect car and walks over to inspect it.

As she bends to feel the fine leather upholstery, a loud fart escapes her.

Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and hopes a salesperson doesn't pop up right now.

As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman.

"Good day, Madame, how may I help you today?"

Very uncomfortably she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?"

He answers, "Madame, if you farted just touching it, you are going to shit when you hear the price."

Yeah, the Lexus has become overpriced. I saw a LS430 at the dealer with a sticker of 73k, what the fuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkk!! I think if it was like 49k ti would have been a good price. I would never get a ls430 over a E430 or 540i. U must be crazyyyyyy!

however, i am trying to convince my mom to get 98 or 99 ls400 silver color. i love that lexus model, looks so much like a toyota from the early 80s when i was a kid.

ummm your comparing the wrong car with the e430 and 540i... they are midsized cars and should be compared with the gs430. the ls430 is the flagship and should be compared with the s500 and 740. actually a gs430 is reasonably priced considering that they start at 40k.

i actually have a gs300, yeah i could have gotten a tl type s for waaay cheaper but i really like the look of the gs. its really slow though

 

Lexus is getting pricey, but they're more car for the money than BMW or Mercedes in my opinion. As for the GS, it has come down quite a bit. The previous generation GS300 was around $45,000.00 which is where the new GS400 came in. So they did drop it down. And that LS430 you saw was the Ultra Luxury, with almost every option imaginable, including a lil mini fridge in the backseat. To get that many options in an S-Class would require around 25 grand more at least. Just my opinion

But the ultra luxury Lexus LS430 sure does have options that you can't get in the S-class or the 7 series. But who really needs them, such as vibrating rear seats, I tried it, but I would not get it. Secondly, the MB & BMW has better resale value and imagine. Lexus is a solid build car, but I pass. It's too generic, no handling characteristic like the MB & BMW.

so what about the new 7 series, the navigation has so much shit that I would need a PHD to drive it. I pass for that 2. The options should be useful and easy to use, not complicated and inaccurate (like my 330ci navigation system).

Man- I don't know what I am talking about. LOL!
Lexus are good cars, but I just prefer MB or BMW. To me it's only a stepping stone car. I would however let my wife have one. GS300/430 or the 99 LS400. My mom 2 can have one if she wants, but she is a new driver and thinks these are 2 big for her to drive.
