I had a few friend had their identity stolen and they lost a lot of money and lost their credit. So I signed up my wife and I for life lock for one year. I felt right about my decision with so many things going on right now. The person I spoke to over the phone told me their tremendous success lately on how many members are signing up and etc....

Today I spoke with someone who is in the same field, who was trying to sell me their service. Told me Lifelock is going bottom up in a few month. Said that they will be returning people's money very soon. Equifax and other credit union are suing Lifelock.
Anyone shed some light in here?

i thought about giving year subscriptions as christmas gifts for friends and family. from what i have read, they basically keep you on the
"do not" lists so you get less junk mail and phone calls. they also relay credit activity notifications. the main thing is the insurance policy. i think credit/identity insurance will become a bigger thing soon.

You can have identity theft insurance added to most homeowners/renters policies, and in many cases, it's included at no cost. Read your policy.
Wow, I signed up for a few months. It forgot I had the service untill I tried to get a second cell phone. T-Mobile HQ had to call my cell phone to make sure it was who was trying to get the phone. So I asume its working well.
