I couldn't have cared less about BAR and Jordan, that is until I purchased myself an S2000. On top of it I always considered BAR to be a joke. I mean, this is a team that predicted a win in their first season, in Formula 1! What a joke...and they do not seem to have bettered their performance during their stay in F1 so far.

Still I have to say that I really hope that these two teams improve hugely this upcoming season and take a couple of podium finishes for Honda.

One must not forget that Honda is just warming up and will dump one of the teams for the 2003 season to be able to concentrate all their forces on one team. Until then it is just a development period for their new engines

Love my S2k

While domination in F1 would certainly sweeten the S2000 owning experience, I contemplate neither getting rid of the car nor commiting suicide because they're not currently number one.

Want to read about what it takes to win in Formula One check out this article:

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.03/fo...pic=&topic_set=

It appeared in the March 2001 issue of Wired Magizine. (I hope this is not been posted before.) The technology that goes into these cars and the resources used by the engineers is astounding. And the security is probably better than what the military uses. It's a long 8 page article but well worth the read.

As an avid F-1 fan I will say I would like Honda to do better but I also know it takes several years sometimes to get the entire package correct. The fact that BMW dropped out of the sky and is doing so well so quickly, is in part a credit to the Williams team even though I do not like the Williams team.

BAR and Jordan are teams I like even less than Williams. The situation this year with Jordan canning H. Frentzen near the end of the season by sending him a fax is so tacky I'm still speechless. Honda has a lot to deal with, they have engine issues to work out along with major team issues to resolve.

As mentioned above, Honda will get it right, and when they do all the teams will have another strong competitor.

But for now I'll be screaming at my TV, go Schumy go, take that apex away from him, go Schumy go, after all, I really like red on the podium, and that is why I'm buying an S2000, it will be my poor-man's Ferrari!

I'm aware that some CART/F1 concepts were worked into the S2000. But, on the whole, F1 might provide manufacturer's bragging rights at the highest enginering level but it has very little, in my mind, to do with real cars (other than expensive carbon hoods, etc. as a side benefit). Personally I rather see Honda spread some of its knowledge and support into NSX and S2000 racing efforts. Cars we can really identify with, much like Porsche has.

I don't think all of Honda's resources are going into F1 at the moment. They are also working on CART cars (Turbo engines). Once they leave CART and start focusing strictly on F1 again, I'm sure they will return to the dominance that they once had. Of course back then, you had McClaren as the chassis and two of the world's greates drivers in Prost and Senna.

If I chose my new cars using a criteria of which was the top 2 or 3 teams in formula1, I would be broke within no time.

You can't forget that Honda has had one of the longest winning streak in the history of Formula 1. They dominated the series more than any other team. Honda will return on the podium.

Just imagine if Michael Schumacher drove for Jordan or Bar.

I think that would definately put Honda back in first.

If the Jordan Hondas had done better, I would have decorated my yellow S2000 with similar markings...

Another S2000 in white would have gone with BAR livery should they have done well.
