At my age (54), any woman I look at under the age of about 30 makes my wife remind me that she could be my daughter. Hell, even I think it when I look at them now.

What's it matter if it's the 4th or 4 billionth? It's just a question in general.

I've noticed this young girl fetish more and more everywhere in the last few years. A lot of the 30-something guys I work with pin up pictures or have wallpaper of girls who look underage. Maybe it's just me getting older and older.

Yes!
What is "younger" is unique to each person, based upon their age, their culture and their environment. I'm in my early 40's and think nothing about going out with someone in there 20's. My parents are 17 years apart in age; I think nothing about that age difference because that is how I was brought up. Some of my friends give me grief if the age difference is to big for their frame of reference, but I don't care, I don't get into the judgmental thing. Having been married once and not able to have kids, I'm thinking if I find someone I want to marry, I would love to have a child, and with me in my 40's the "younger girl" would make the option a bit more feasible.

As a long time lover of Asian women I have tried to explain this before and I will take a stab at it again.

For me personally I like Asian women because they

A) Are most often petite. Percentage wise speaking how many big fat nasty white girls do you see compared to fat nasty Asian women? I am just talking percentages here, as there are always exceptions to the rule.

B) Hold their youthful appearance longer generally speaking. My wife is 28 and doesn't look any different then when I met her when she was 17. Other than a better hairstyle now! Once again there are exceptions to every rule but I think most Asian women keep younger looking longer.

C) I am a sucker for shiny black hair on any woman and that = Asian most of the time.

Personally I like half asian/ half white so you get the Asian looks with a little bit more curves.

i don't necessarily agree with any of these, but here are some reasons i've heard before.

the "it's society's fault" excuse:
fashion designers know that today's crazy creations look best on ultra-skinny women (who happen either to look or to be 15), so that's who they put on the runways and magazine ads. then it trickles down to movies and tv. after a decade or so, we're conditioned to believe that's what's attractive. a person's idea of what's attractive has VERY little to do with nature, and a whole lot to do with nurture.

the "they used to do it all the time in the old days" excuse:
historically speaking it is only very recently that it has become common practice for men and women of the same age to get married. you know the story. young man goes off and makes a life for himself and comes back to the hometown at 30 for an arranged marriage to the 15 year old neighbor. that has far more historical legitimacy than the mingling hordes of 35 year old marketing managers i see at bars every night.

the "amateur physiologist" excuse:
hey... if women aren't supposed to be attractive at 15, then why at that age have they been able to bear children for *years*? clearly there is an evolutionary advantage to attractiveness and its underlying fertility at a young age. and who are we to argue with that? then there's the closely related...

the "if we're not supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat" excuse: (my favorite)
lusting after young women must be natural, common, and even healthy. otherwise, there wouldn't be so many laws against it. of course it's probably a bad idea to act on that lust, but that's an entirely different story.

the "hotness sees no age" excuse:
good looking is good looking. apparent age is secondary. if it's wrong to be attracted to a 21 year old who looks 16, is it equally wrong to be attracted to a 16 year old who looks 21? you can't have your cake and eat it too. you can't decide to be unattracted to a 21 year old woman because there's an off chance she might turn out to be 16. either she's attractive or she's not. how old she happens to be absolutely does not factor into the equation. we won't get into emotional maturity vs. chronological age.

the "i'm moving to Hawaii" excuse:
the age of consent varies from state to state. in CA, it's 18. in WA, it's 16. in HI, it's 14 for god's sake. don't try to tell me that one of these states has it right and everybody else is a heathen by degrees. in our society we have to draw sharp lines between right and wrong. so in most of the US, 18 years is that line for sexual consent. a girl who's 17 years and 364 days is jailbait, but one one day older is A-OK. that's not natural and it's not rational, but we have to make rules and draw lines. but that doesn't mean we should base a system of value judgments on unavoidably arbitrary demarcations. that's a case of the tail wagging the dog.

ok, i lied.... i agree with a couple of these.

Well, growing up in Hawaii doesn't help. There are many asians here and many are really good looking. I've always had a thing for asain girls, but not that young. To me, in their late 20's or early 30's is nice since they're set in life and know what they want. I'm half Japanese so maybe that plays into it a little bit. I'm in SoCal right now, and see a few head turners, will be in San Fran soon, so I'll expect to see less based on my previous trips there. For me, there's nothing like good looking asian girls in Hawaii. *disclaimer* Of course I'm married and I'm not looking around!
