Default A little different kind of picture

This picture doesn't have any pretty girls. No beautiful sunsets or colorful landscapes. What this picture does have is the image of a very distant comet inbound that will very probably be a naked eye comet next May. Guess it takes all kinds of photographers

I honestly don't know how you could post a picture like this without mention of the interstellar war that's been going on for tens of thousands of Earth years amongst 2/3rds of the stars pictured; the shifting alliances, the advent of voting rights for the birthing members of each species, the controversy about whether embedded reporters are considered parasites or emergency food rations... it's just a bit narrow-minded.

There are times that I get lost in trying to image the objects that slip by, most unseen. I loose track sometimes thinking about an icy speck and what has caused it to visit our sky once every 3 million years. I simply find these thoughts amazing. But, I also know I can visit this board and find that nothing in the universe will ever match in depth or complexety the thoughs of some of the minds here. Thank you, I needed that!
