living with parents
Like everyone else said, if you are doing it to save money for a house or studying for grad school or working towards something, then it is ACCEPTABLE. I don't think it is ever a good case--unless you have to be there to care for a family member or they need to care for you.
If you just moved back permanently just because you miss your childhood days, then it is not good.
For guys, the above applies. For girls, no one will really look down on you for living at home. No guy is going to care--unless curfews get in the way.
For guys, good luck getting a girlfriend who will understand. Few will.
Oh yeah, paying rent when you don't have to is foolish. I can understand mortgages, but renting is really only for fools or students that have no other choice.

HELL YEAH...in my area lets see why one would live with the parents. The median price of a new house is "drumroll please" 550,000...rent for a suck as apt is "drumroll please" 1,000 a month...if your parents dont bother you by any means and they dont care y not stay home...when u grad college most of us dont have balla status bank accounts. Now if your 30 and at home that may be different. But then again who gives a fock about what the next man does. In a lot of cultures people live with there parents up until they die. You support them once they retire etc and you can claim them on taxes duhhhh...It makes complete financial sense to stay at home. If they sign the house over to you and you take over the payments guess what, you got a huge discount on a house
I lived at home for a few months after I graduated college, but that was mainly to get my savings built up a bit more while beginning the new career. I graduated in May, found my real job in July (I was working full-time, just not at what I considered my career), and moved into an apt in Sept. It was fine living with my parents for a bit, but I was ready to get out on my own.

the girls I've seriously dated probably wouldn't look twice at you, because more mature women don't really respect a guy when his situation is like that.
but, youre not looking for a serious thing, and youre probably going for quantity not quality. its just as easy to land girls at their place I guess.
the b16 hatch and laundry part is hilarious, though.

you still live with mommy. 55K what's that after taxes in your neck of the woods a whopping 37.5K or so.
If some chick settles for a guy at that salary level she needs to be prepared to pay for some dates as well
I live at home and work for my family business. I do pay for my own car payments and insurance. I'm 23 and planning on going back to school. I don't think its a bad thing at all to live with your folks but sometimes I do feel like I need to grow up. Alright guys back to work.
I'm 20. I'm completely on my own, have my own apartment, paid cash for all my furniture, car is paid off, and live several states away from my parents. No support from parents since 18.
Most of my friends think that I'm living the "high-life". Up until recently, I was staying in my coworkers basement. The decision was new car (probably $40-50k range) or get out on my own. I chose the latter, and think I made a good decision. I value my independence much more than a new car.
