you say it's tragic what happened, i say i don't have enough facts. perhaps it's a consequence of dealing with the law and attorney's all day long. it makes you lack compassion, but not logic.

why was the girl with him? where were they going, what were they doing prior? we're they having "fun" going 100mph...or was everyone screaming while he was ripping up the fwy? There's always more to the story.

in any event it really doesn't matter as compensation goes. what will most likely happen is the injured families will file civil suit against the police dept, the insurance company, and family for damages. the suit will settle for an undisclosed, extremely high number and will never see the courtroom.
