I'll have to look into that. It seems like it would be at the fastest setting by default, but maybe I can speed it up a bit. Like I said though, it works very well.
Nope. You can set it by milliseconds. You can actually set it too low that the receiver doesn't recognize the input. You can google or search harmony forums to see what the lowest value is for each device(tv, receiver, dvr, and so on)

I have an 880, and it's almost my favorite piece of technology. I control all might lighting in the place, all my devices - including my home theatre PC.

It's great to have various marcos for lighting and to control them from the sofa. Even cooler is the ability to link the macros to buttons on the remote to make the lights turn bright when pause is pressed on a bru ray or a movie playing through the computer.

The initial set up was a little complex, but my home theatre and lighting configuration is perhaps a little complex. After some trial and error over time, I have all the delays set the way I'd like.

Only problem I have is an issue occasionally skipping the step of adjusting the input on my HDMI switch box, despite the remote being pointed directly at the ir receiver.

Recommend getting one for yourself or anyone who might like their technology simplified. To prove it works for the non-tech savvy, I bought my dad one last year for him and my mom to use with their TV, satellite, Blu Ray, and surround sound and they haven't called me once. I added a couple functions they use often to the soft buttons (next to the display) and they like it far better than their old remotes.

LIGHTNING! Oh my god! A quick change and it's telepathic. I've fallen in love with my remote again.

Loving my Harmony One. I had a Sony RM-AV3000 before that never got used because I hated programming it.

I have the 1100.

Honest review in cliff notes style.

Negatives first...

1)Shape, although you get used to it, if definitely not comfortable.
2)A bit annoying if you are planning to use as the active primary remote, GUI is a tad sluggish, and you need to scroll through pages on certain devices for certain functions (ie audio receiver.) I use mine to turn everything on, then I use my programmed FIOS remote to control the TV and the receiver.

Positives.....

1)The best remote you can buy of it's kind before you start getting to the $1000+ remotes.

2)Easy as pie to program
3)Great battery, and great charger.
4)I have yet to find something it can't control. I had it set to turn lights off when a movie starts, etc etc etc. Almost anything retail than can be controlled with a remote this thing can control it, and their list keeps growing.
5)I'm happy with my purchase.

It's true, I keep trying to stump it with weird things like my fan (tower type on the floor) and it got it.

There is a $25 rebate currently on the Harmony One remotes when purchased from Amazon, Newegg, Tiger Direct, Circuit City

Good for purchases through March 6, 2010

Rebate Form Link:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?loc...7975585163C1748

Amazon is the cheapest @ $188 + free shipping. With the rebate it ends up being $20 cheaper than the best NEW ITEM deal on eBay.
