snakes will continue to move days after you cut their heads off. I killed a rattler with a shovel by chopping its head off at scout camp when i was like 13. I decided i would skin it and eat it. the thing kept moving for over 2 days!! I was scared of that headless beast! I did finally skin it and ate it. tastes like chicken I still have the skin, but I had to give the rattle to the dorky kid that found it (his dad made me). jerk.
