Looking for a classic Mustang in FL
I need help trying to find one. I want a nice '67-'69 worth about $8-9K to use as a daily driver. My Stook is for sunny weekends only. Can anyone help me on this one? Thanks.

Hmm. Well... looking for one in excellent shape, or willing to work on it?
My mother lives in Myrtle Beach, SC and has a '69 Grande. It's in pretty rough shape these days, but I know she's trying to sell it. Copper-colored ... automatic... hardtop.
302cc.
SC's obviously not exactly home turf, but it's not THAT far. Then again I'm a driving fool, so long distances don't phase me much.

You can try http://www.hmn.com/hemmings/searches/
or http://www.traderonline.com/
and do a search in the areas close by you.
You should be able to find whatever your looking for.

Well it used to be.
She bought it from a friend about 10 years ago. It was in awesome shape. I actually took it to my Senior Prom. Nice car...
Then she moved from NH to SC... had no garage space.... no time to care for it or maintain it... Now it's rusty, it's filthy, the interior is falling apart, the doors drop when you open them (frame damage?)...
...But I think the engine's in good shape.
Badly in need of a tune-up, but it's always run well. Definitely a fixer-upper car!

My buddy just sold his '66 K-code convertible. It was a great car, probably one of the best you will see. I would go for an earlier model (64.5 - 66). After that the cars start getting pretty big. If you find a K-code, they are very fun to drive, but maybe a bit pricey for your budget.

My best friend has a candy apple red '69 Mach 1. Gorgeous, 351 cubic inches with just enough torque...
It's not for sale, has been in the family since his dad bought it new in '69. And he lives a little way from Fla...

I like the 69's and 70's. I've owned 2 69 351 Grande's, a 70 351 Mach I and a 69 428 Super Cobra Jet. The 428 sucked gas but it went like a bat out of hell.
I've also had some older and newer stangs.
