Default Looking for Video Card with TIVO-like capabilities

Can someone tell me what they think is the best card to get, that would allow TIVO-like recording onto my computer. I want to record TV programs onto my computer hard drive and then write to a DVD, if I choose to. Interested in scheduling recordings etc. I am computer literate, but I am unfamaliar with this. Also, any pros or cons of different cards greatly appreciated.

i remember seeing a tivo copycat running on linux/unix. you'll need a TV tuner card.

The other thing you might want to consider is getting a replaytv and using one of the many available applications such as dvarchive to move the shows over to your computer.
