Looting in middle east
It could be a repost.... sorry.... but made me think about New Orleans
These are thing I keep hearing... and only seening the worst in news coverage
Like they say "Believe half of what see and nothing what your hear"
*********************************
New Orleans questions....
Why did the not use the School busses to get out....
Why did Amtrack not train out people...
Why did new orleans people put their generators and pump below water lever if a flood?
******************
Middle East...
I cant just believe the video... They must of had guns or... something more than
stealing wood.... I'm not there nor have I been there
I'm sad for the 1899 plus US Americans that died there
deaths info....
Hopefully we can limit the acts of terror in the USA because of our (American troops) effort on their soil

my point exactly those are future terrorists in the making. Avenging themselves justly, against injust america. If cuba had oil we would have been at war with them a long time ago. Democracy the biggest lie in history.
If you truly feel that strongly about the United States, I beleive they still have flights that leave the country that you can always board and leave.
But I don't think you will.............. Again, Democracy=You have the ability to say what's on your mind and the only thing you have to worry about is someone else to speak their mind.
stupid looters...
what are you talking about? they were taking scrap pieces of wood. it didnt look like that wood was gold plated, or diamond encrusted . i very seriously doubt that these people were stealing this stuff to sell on iraqs infamous scrap wood black market. they were probably people that lived in a ****ing dump, or worse a dump that was bombed during this war, and they took those supplies because they needed them.
those soldiers were obviously bullying them.
look, i dont support this war, but at the same time i am not so blind that i condemn every soldier thats over there. but i'm also not so patriotic that i can see that shit and tell myself that its justice.
i appreciate the freedoms that we have, but mass market media has us all hopped up for a past that never existed. everyone trys to play down our current mistakes like its some recent thing, and america was never like this until now, so that should make it ok. its really hard for me to get all teary eyed over a country that used slave labor to jump start its economy among other things.
look, america is not ****ing perfect, and people trying to convince themselves that it is, are the reason that it never will be. everyone says, "hey, at least we got it better than some of those third world countries"
**** that, when our founding fathers set out to make this thing, they didnt want it to be a half assed, kind of good country, they wanted it to be the best. and our complacency with mediocracy is a slap to the face of all of those big ideas.
if you settle for less thats the best we will ever get.
sorry for the rant, and that was not directed at anyone, i am just pissed with sycophantic people justifying obvious injustice.

also, when people say shit like. "you can allways leave" and dumb shit like that, you do realize that you are not saying anything original, right?
and that you are just repeating retoric.
if everyone who questioned americas proplems left, then people like you would be under complete control faster than you could recite some preprogrammed response.
lets say that you agree with the war, and you believe all of bush's bullshit, doesnt it strike you as odd that the entire ****ing UN told him not to go to war, and that america was not being pushed to war by iraq.
and he did it anyway.
surely you dont think that all of these other nations were wrong?
oh, and by the way, looks like there were no WMDs. whoops.
and that you are just repeating retoric.

I support this country for letting me be whoever I want to be. I support this country to let me say what I want to say. I support this country that lets me pursue my hapiness the way I beleive it will make me happy. I support this country that allows me to worship my god and let me believe in what I want to believe. I support the men and women who protects me from being able to do all this things. I give them my respect for that and reserve judgement for actions they take that I do not know the whole story. May it be wrong or right but I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they choose to serve the United States and yes me as well.
You may say that I'm a lemming by supporting my country and the people who serve to protect it. I say to you go ahead, that's your right and again I say to you; If you truly feel that strongly about the United States, I beleive they still have flights that leave the country that you can always board and leave. There's no one stopping you but you.

It is possible that the people in the video were stealing the wood to build a houes, but what they were doing was still against the rules. Hey, if your house burned down, would you just go steal the materials to rebuild it? If so, I'd hope your car gets crushed too.
Bottom line, the wood didn't have to be, "gold plated, or diamond encrusted," because stealing is stealing is stealing. So, saying that I somehow support an "obvious" injustice is fundamentally wrong. I support the rule of law, and feel that those breaking the rules must be dealt with accordingly. Shooting the car before crushing it was definitely overkill, but I'll bet there were far fewer looters afterwards.
Also, keep in mind that this video is probably a year a half old, when the environment in Iraq and the attitudes towards the war in the U.S. were a little bit different.
OMG!! That's awful. At least under Saddam, they only would have lost a couple of fingers or a left hand or something. Worst case, they would have been completely dismembered and left on their families' doorsteps. Messing with a man's car....now that's just wrong. No shame.

Dude, your anger is not healthy. You should talk to someone about it. Being angry at every American since the days of the pilgrims? Give me a break.
If you don't like the way things are run here, go live somewhere else. Seriously, why stay?
