While the phone was ringing...I was bracing for Desmond's death. Now he has to relearn everything he went through on the island? Does that mean he loses his ability to see into the future?

Last night's episode was indeed crazy. I was uttering, "WTF" throughout the show.

So where is Michael and Walt? It's hard to believe that they got off the island just fine in that dinky boat and on the "right" course.

 

but if they stayed on the heading that ben gave them when they left the dock, they may have made it, just like the helicopter flight back to the frieghter.

they also havent show all the oceanic 6 yet either.....

what are your guys thoughts on the time delay? its more than just crossing the international date line, it seem like their a full day AHEAD.

damm i hate this show, and that makes me love it!

 

I think they walked into a gold mine with this time shift thing. They can explain why no one can find the island, and why Walt grew about 4 feet while they where supposed to be on the island for about two months time.

 

So is the time advance exponential? It can explain why people don't age (the others) maybe.

 

Did anyone catch what Penny said to Desmond on the phone? "I knew you were alive when they found your friend Charlie". At least that's what I understood. Did I hear that right? Who found Charlie? Did they find him dead or alive?

I think I heard her say, "....when I spoke to your friend Charlie."

 

I think she said "when I heard from your frined charlie" remember Charlie talked to Penny just before he died in the underwater bubble thing.




I think last nights show hinted at how they are going to explain everything.
This "conscience time travel" could explain everything... maybe the island doesn't exist... and everyone is just traveling there in there conscience...

 

i would have thought charlie would have been desmond's constant since he was always envisioning charlie's death and saving him.

they mentioned electromagnetism or radiation.
wasn't it electromagnetism that brought the plane down in the first place?
or was it when they failed to press in the numbers?

 

Oh that's right. Charlie did talk to Penny

Rico the radiation was when they failed to enter the numbers. Desmond was right in the middle of the reactor when it blew up.

I don't think they're time traveling in their minds only. What Desmond did in his time travels affected the present time. Penny kept her phone number like Desmond told her to when he backtravelled. And the scientist had written "Desmond is my constant" on his journal. It looked like he already had it written before arriving on the island because he had to look for it a bunch of pages back.
