Default mad at the new policy?

Chill!
As much as I believe those threads are mostly alright and entertaining.
A few people did cross the line in my book. Unfortunately administrators have a different book.
I'd like to see those threads continue, but rules are rules.

This is NOT a place to practice freedom of speech. The owners are probably not going to post to provoke more debate, but the fact is that this is a private board. It can be censored in anyway authorized personnel seen fit. Once awhile I still get mad at threads being moved, but I'd forget about it quick enough, for my own health.

I believe limiting those threads for very few board members who have a problem with it will eventually deal great damage to this board. Except for some objectionable posts, those are casual topics that we could easily talk about in the bar. But again, with average age of owners getting younger, maybe this is the only way to get members back in line somehow. Evidentally, this is a risk that owners of the board are willing to take. There is no point arguing over it. Take it or leave it would be my advice. Despite the changes, this is still a great board. I plan to stick around. If the policies are too conservative or old fashioned for you, there are plenty of "younger" boards out there to satisfy your needs
There is no reason to get mad. Bringing out "freedom of speech" speech is just plain silly.

No matter what anyone believes, this simple fact remains that before any person on this BB registered, they had to agree that "By clicking the Agree button, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws." So, the administrators can do whatever the heck they want and we have to live with it. We don't pay to use this BB and considering all of the features it has, we probably should.

How about put a big fat www.off-topic.net link at the top of the off-topic forum? Then everybody can be happy.

Why the need to replace one with the other? Some of us like this off topic but don't want the stuff that is more appropriate for off-topic.net. Why can't we have this forum and let it be a little more "adult" and for those who want to be a little more raunchy they can indulge themselves on off-topic.net for that stuff and still participate here for the less raunchy stuff. Then we'd have the best of both worlds.

I'm fine with the new policy - this was getting out of control...

How about a Special Hottie Forum just for the valued members who need it?
I'd nominate mYuuki as a Moderator .
