I got an advanced copy last night, and it is pretty awesome!
The Franchise mode is cool. It even takes the challenges from the old Madden (Pocket Pass, Punting Pin, In the Trenches) and incorporates it into the season. I haven't finished my pre-season yet, but I opted for the manager mode also. It lets me decide the price of cokes, tickets, and other things like that. Just be ready for the new offense. They are a lot better than the old game!

Madden 2004 came out Tuesday great game a noticeable difference from last year. The animations are sweet when guys get tackled their body's get crumpled and bent in all different ways it looks exactly how you see it on TV. Another cool thing is that between big plays instead of the screen showing you a highlight is now you can view that highlight while your in the play selection screen which keeps the game moving at a nice smooth pace. The 2 main new features that are in this years version (alright make it 3 at halftime the cheerleaders come out and do a dance 4 you) The other 2 are the new playmaker control where you can change where your receivers go after the snap you can also actually control your blockers downfield "yes you can actually set up blocks yourself. The other new cool feature is the new owner mode although I have not messed with that to much to busy schooling my friends in vs mode (Go Cheifs!!!!!) just had to add that) but you can actually hire your coaching staff build your stadium you can set up scoreboards, luxury boxes etc you can even control and set ticket prices so you can build revenue for your team. Something else that is noteworthy is if you have or get NCAA 2004 is that you can export players from your favorite college team into the NFL now instead of waiting for them to enter the draft next year (Go Canes!!!!!!!! ). I personally choose the XBOX version the graphics are a lot cleaner and polished and the animations are smoother than the PS2 (I have not played the Gamecube version yet). But the only feature (which is unfortunately a big one) is that between the 3 only the PS2 version is online enabled which means if you have the Network adapter you can play against other people online and EA is going to be sponsoring tournaments on the net all football season just check out their website for more info. Well this is my review for the game hopefully it help someone's buying decision out and I almost forgot ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!! This season is going to be good.

Hey I hear Terrell Owens might not sign next year his contract is up after this season. Rumor is he might sign with Atlanta "T.O. and Vick that would be sick"

I only play head to head with friends. I don't bother with the franchise mode. Is it worth the upgrade from 2003?

Um, go Raiders.

DAMN!!!

I am jealous of all of you who got it early!!!!!!

By the way, I have the PS2 and I think that the online play is way overated. It is very choppy, even with my cable modem.

It is really tough watching the Cowboys and not seeing good ol Catch22 in the backfield leages all time leading rusher. Well wish him good luck in Arizona. One of the classiest guys to play the game.
