look at the usage of this symbol and the other types of standards flown and carried by signifers in ancient roman eras and you will see many similarities.



its funny how time and different cultures can skew the meaning of a thing a simple as a symbol

The Romans might have used it, but it dated back thousands of years in Asia, and way before the Roman Empire.
