Marriage...
Well, I finally popped the question on Saturday. Talk about a memorable experience!!!:
Saturday 12pm, we go to Hayfork campground, 8 miles North of Idaho City...beautiful campground...almost perfect. Everyone is scattered all around, Danette(my gf) is down by the creek, and I had to go show Diana ( a friend) "the ring". As she comes out I motion for her to stay out of sight as I come over, and I show Diana "the ring".
Hayfork didn't seem to be "romantic" enough for "the QUESTION"...so Me and 'nette drive back to Boise. We stop over at Katherine Alberson's park, it's goregeous, and I'm nervous as hell! we walked around the park, and then left as she had to go back to Mountain Home to pick up her daughter. There was one other place I had in mind, so we stopped by there...
We stopped by the Boise Railroad Depot. Beautiful place, as there were 2 weddings going on at the moment. I really really wanted to pop "the QUESTION" before she left, but also felt that it would be inappropriate to propose in front of guests of 2 weddings...anyways, 'nette really had to go back to Mountain Home, and I "had to go talk with my mom"
So we parted, and I went over to my mom's place unannounced and showed my mom "the ring".
I then drove to 'nette's house in Mountain Home. 'nette has a 5 year old (cute as a bell) daughter we'll call Boo. I wanted to ask Boo is it was ok with her if I marry her mom. She said it was ok, and I showed her the ring. I told Boo that it's our secret and not to tell mom!
I told 'nette after dinner that I felt that we really really had to go back to Boise, to Katherine's park...(she didn't get a hint, thank god!) we're wandering around the park, NO lights around and we find THE place in the park. I had us all sit on the concrete bench in front of the HUGE ponderosa tree stump.
I got down on one knee in front of her, say a little something, and ask her to marry me. She puts her fingers to her lips and gets teary-eyed and says yes. I give her the box with the ring in it, lean forward to kiss her and I hear this
FFFFFFFFFFFFWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sound...I hear ducks quacking in the background and this FWOOSH sound..I'm thinking "Ducks and this sound....ducks rushing us?" I stand up and get SOAKED from HEAD TO TOE...damn them automatic sprinklers!!!!
Talk about having a literal cold shower to a passionate moment!!! LOL

Thank you all for the kind words!!!
I was a nervous wreck all day long!
My fiance' is awesome, she'll wants me to buy the car! So I can be more *cough* romantic...LOL!
I know I'm in for some REALLY REALLY stressful times here in the future...as I am buying a house and closing next friday, and with the whole "ring" thing, I'm a wreck right now. My mom commented on how calm I looked despite all the stuff that's going on. I told her, "inside, I'm bouncing off the walls"
So, here's my plan:
1. buy house
2. marry her
3. haver her move in
4. Get the blasted S2000 already!!!!
yup, looks like I got my priorities straight!
