Pretty hilarious.

I'm curious though, can the officer who saw all this stuff get the ticket to stand up in court since he wasnt actually on duty at the time?
Or because he was on his way to work, does that count as being on duty?

I think the kid deserved it obviously and it was funny as hell. He was given plenty of opportunity to save himself. Just wondering about how well it would hold up.

i think the cop being an expert witness alone would mean you'd still get charged. i'm guessing the on duty guy was the one who actually issued the ticket... who knows. a good lawyer might find some loopholes.

Cops around here are always considered on duty. There is not specific on- or off-duty cycle where they can't enforce the law.
