I think Mikey is having a little fun. Plus, I looked at my post and I had addition BEFORE subtraction; I think that's wrong too.

I need to brush up.
No no, that was right too. We were both right but I'm more inclined to remember something referring to the "mass of a bed" than the "das of a pem"

BEDMAS sounds like a dirty mnemonic device and I likes that.

PEMDAS

Work in this order:
Parentheses
Exponents
Mult.
Div.
Addition
Subtraction
Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally (PEMDAS). Great acronym for getting the order correct.

Yes! I didn't scroll down enough. Math is not so much being great at calculations, its understanding the concepts that lead to the answer. If you understand the concepts, and break down the problem into steps, you will most likely get the correct answer.

Most people get intimidated and give up easily, instead of practicing and understanding the concepts.

Most people, actually, cheat. I cheated my way the Alg.2. Thank god for a self-paced computer class. I would have never passed otherwise

Math? I had to take math just about every semester. There was no escaping it. Just when you think you're done, you're tricked into a Facilities Design class.

Engineer? Mechanical?

I think I have to take up to Calculus 1. God, I am NOT looking forward to that. I'm glad I'm going for engineering, they have to take Calc.3 and then there's MORE after that. Depending on major, there's fluid dynamics, which is like Calc+Physics. I'd probably slit my throat right then.
