Default Mattresses

my wife and i have been shopping for a mattress for many months now, and we've been to the malls, the mattress stores (for those living in LA, you must have heard that commercial from sit-n-sleep), etc. we were looking to spend roughly $3k on a nice sterns-n-fosters/chattaham-wells mattress set until my cousin suggested chinese furniture stores. we went to a big warehouse in monterey park, and bought a nice cal-king sized mattress (firm) with 20-year warranty, delivered and all for $350 cash. the bed is as comfortable as those $3k mattresses we were testing at Robinson's May/Sit-n-Sleep. amazing.

I have a pocket sprung mattress.
It was very expensive but my back and sleep problems have diminished significantly.

hey Minster,

seriously i love monterey park. i can get most things that would cost a lot more in that city. thats where i always pick up my cell phones because when new models come out Cingular charges for example 200 dollars. in MP I can easily pick up that same model for like 60 dollars. god i love that place. oh and the restaruants are pretty damn good out there too. i love the lunch special at Nice Cafe where they have 5 dollar filet mignon lunch specials. oooh now im craving that. well yeah sounds like a good mattress that you picked up.

another thing that i found out that was causing my back problems were the seats in the S2000. before i would tilt the seat all the way back because thats the way i was used to driving before in my other cars. however in this car the seat needs to be somewhat tilted up for me to prevent my back problems. otherwise my back will be sore for the whole day. well this is just my input on any back problems you might be having.

have you also considered accupuncture? i have tried this once on my foot for heavy tissue damage from an old tae kwon do fight and i seriously was amazing. i was back in business within two days. they should be able to do something about back problems too. if you are interested i can recommend a place in Gardena. or consider doing Spa treament for your back. i dont know any places for a Spa but i hear they are really nice. I too have back problems and used to take alot of Vicotin for it, but decided to go natural and use stretching excersies etc to take care of the problem. also consider a chiropracter and have them give you a small back brace in case you have a pinched nerve or stressed vertabrae. this worked really great for my sister.

Richard-

Have you tried a chiropractor? I have an excellent one here in Pasadena. My wife and I have been going to him for years and swear by him. My mother-in-law sees him too, as do many, many friends and business associates from an old networking group. I also have a seriously f*cked up back.

I used to live out in MP. You can't beat the deals thatyou get out there. Everyone that's local knows about the killer cell phone deals out there. It's kind of a running joke that we have. If you need a good cellphone, go to some small chinese store in MP to get it.

Guess it applies for mattresses too now. What brand did you end up getting, or is it just a no name one.

anyone that spends anywhere near three grand for a mattress/boxspring set is crazy...they cost like 150-200 to make...trust me, my parents own a mattress factory...
