pu-lease ...
I love my s2k ... but ...
Honda did not come up with most of the design details you're pointing out ... look at just about any sport-concept car (including Porsche, BMW, Nissan, Mazda) that came out the same time as the SSM and you'll see very similar finishing details ...
Also, any new roadster that claims Mazda is immitating them ... well ... can everyone say pot / kettle / black ...
Have fun,
Derek

You guys are so harsh. It's another S2000 with suicide doors. Now those who want an S2000 for four people will get this. I was considering it too. However, Mazda Rotary Engines have not been very reliable for me IMO. The search goes on.

That's why you do a 3 year lease...hehe, the secret to having the most fun with the car is:
1) Leasing it for 3 years
2) Having it under Warenty for the entire 3 years
3) beating the piss out of it every second it is driven within that 12-15k window
4) giving it back to some poor unsuspecting sucker who is thinking he is getting a deal
5) getting another one when you are done with that one.
Just kidding, I don't beat on my car too bad. I drive it hard occasionally, but it is not bouncing off the rev limiter while going to work every day, although I do believe that for a new car like this, it is probably benificial to lease it, being that it is a new car, not out on the market too long, and you don't have to sell it if you don't like it.
My $.02

Sorry, folks, with those bulbous sculpted lines around the wheels, especially on the front end, the Rx8 (at least in pictures) is UGLY. Only the S2000 design details they stole save the car from disaster.
I guess it's supposed to be retro; to me it's just a bad design.
The engine sounds good, though, and I think the rotary is a lot more reliable than it was when I owned my 1st-gen Rx7. (Which also goes to show that I'm not ranting about the design just because it's a Mazda.)
