I understand that (although I know you weren't talkin' to me)
I am very picky as well. My friends always tease me about passing up opportunities because I am picky.
But, a girl's version of picky and a guy's version of picky is was different.
Girls are just much less likely to even take a chance on something. They are much more likely to make an initial judgement, at the snap of a finger, and then not even consider changing their mind.
Guys are much more lenient. There may be something we are not sure of, but we will often take a chance just to see.

Cuz like somone stated before, women always say they want a a nice guy but when they get one they dont appreciate them.I did all that romantic stuff, open car doors, leave notes, send flowers, communicate with them etc etc but in the end it gets us nowhere nowadays. Carefull what you wish for ladies! Funny how the ones that we dont pay any attention to or dont respect are the ones that keep coming for more. 
Then the ones we are attracted to use us for our money and generosity etc
