I don't think many will argue whether or not Michael Jackson is an odd character. I also don't think many will argue that he has had a monumental impact on popular music and dance around the world.

However, as bizarre and maybe even believable the charges against him are, nobody here (thankfully) knows what really did or didn't happen.

Sure, there's a likelihood that the allegations could be true, but there is JUST as much liklihood that they aren't.

Is it suspicious that Michael paid $40 million to the last person that brought allegations against him? Sure...but that does NOT mean he was guilty. It was a wise decision by his defense to try and do damage control.

I would LIKE to think that the parents of the child wouldn't have settled for the money if those allegations had been true.

As for the question somewhere in this thread about whether the parents would be to blame or Michael if something DID happen, I think the answer is obvious...BOTH! Anyone that would molest a child is as sick as they come...and any parent that would leave their child unsupervised with a suspected child molestor doesn't deserve to be a parent and probably deserves jail time as an accomplice...

Relson - If I had a child I would not leave them unsupervised with anyone that I did not know or was not completely comfortable with. Not a celebrity or even a babysitter or child care professional unless they had been interviewed extensively and I was confident that my child was safe and well cared for.

There's a reason the DA is prosecuting this. The child's psychiatrist was reported to have brought the charges to the DA's attention, not the family.
