With that knowledge you can only hope MS would have donated the $ had one of his bodyguard perished.

Very nice that he donated $10M, but that information makes you wonder.
Don't quite see your logic...the guy is not obligated to donate anything. The fact that a global tragedy has impacted him on a personal level and he is giving $10million shows the type of person he is.

We look at athletes and entertainers to contribute, I would like to see a list of the personal donations of the CEO's of the Fortune 500. These are people whose total compensation meet or exceed many of the athletes and entertainers noted.

^^ I think most professional athletes/entertainers make a lot more money than most CEOs, even Fortune 500 ones...

There are no billionaire actors of sports figures. These people are not on the same level as CEOs and Fortune 500 people.

Hmmm I stand corrected. For the Fortune 500, you're absolutely right and I'm an idiot.

The Ceo of Costco, one of Sam's Clubs competors makes 350,000 a year. Maybe if the other CEO's of big companies stop making billion dollar salaries and stock options every year maybe their companies would make more money. there are hardly any CEO's that are worth even close to those figures, for example on the level of former GE ceo Jack Welch. I mean think about it. The god damn president makes less then half a million a year.

Would he have given $10M if his body guard had not pershed? no one knows the answer to that. Call me a jerk but it makes his donation look more of a Knee Jerk reaction more than anything. $10M is a ton of $. It was very nice of him no matter what the circumstances were.

i disagree with you. you see in the news all these basball players, randy johnson being bought by yankees, etc, that are making over $100 million over a relatively short number of years. If they dont piss it all away buying women and coke then they have a very good opportunity to get into that +$100 million athlete salary glass ceiling

^^ Yup, I just looked up some similar data, and the Fortune 500 guys make a hell of a lot more than I thought.
