Sorry for the negativity . . . Really the only thing that matters is that if you want to give, whatever the reason or amount, give!!!

Let's not forget the net worth of, say, Bill Gates, or the two gentlemen who started Google.

As for entertainers, I believe that Paul McCartney is worth around half-a-billion dollars, perhaps more.

Remember, being worth half a billion, and HAVING half a billion, are very very different.

.1% of last years net income from the sports leagues top 5 players from each team would do the trick. Several times over I should think.

A small aside to the Shuey post;

Nigel Roebuck of Autosport did an interesting article with Jenson Button in the December issue. Button describes the aerodynamics of the Ferrari as being in a league of their own.

The short version is that not only does Ferrari modify the aerodyn. of the car to be sleeker, but they manipulate the airflow over the car so that when the chassis penetrates the air, it causes sever buffeting to any car behind it. It generates and maginfies the "dirty air". I thought that to be quite interesting.

What is cooler is the generosity of MS and all the other folks contributing to the relief of those struck by the tsunamis.

Cheers,

MugenM

I heard about this aerodynamic thing in the past. From what I remember, it was a more general Formula 1 thing, that's why we see so little drafting. IRL and CART have very strict limitations that dramatically reduce this "dirty air" making it easier to draft.

It is interesting to hear that Ferrari may be using this to their advantage...well it must be working.
