Mitz has been terrible on the reliability front (in the past). Sub has been much much much more reliable (in the past). Good luck either way.

I can't comment personally about post mid 90's mitz only pre mid 90's mitz which where suited to only wipe the $hit from ones A$$ but only if there wasn't poison ivy around. I have no idea how reliable they are now, I would suggest going to a mitz forum and checking out the complaints found there. Good luck.

If this were a Ford forum I'd say Mitsu would be a lateral move in quality, reliability etc... but you're used to driving Hondas. Once you've experienced H quality most other cars will disapoint.

Lease vs balloon is a no brainer unless you put on some serious miles. The residual of the Mitsu may be too low that it would make leasing cost prohibitive.
Residuals are higher for Honda's and Toyota's so leasing is much more attractive.

I've had three Corvette's and two of them were perfect and never gave me a problem. The third one was a lemon. I've had three Honda's, one of which was perfect, one that was damned good, and then there was the S2000 that spent more time in the shop for more different problems than any car I'd ever owned. I expected better from Honda but I guess I just got unlucky. Still love the 2000's though.
