Default Moonshine

wanted to see how many rednecks, i mean, you guys have drank it before.

i was over my friends house last night for a small gathering of friends. i already had one hell of a buzz from drinking a good bit of whiskey well low and behold my friends dad had some shine down in the freezer that some family friends from NC brought up. i took a sip of it, no more than 1 shot's worth. he said "that's all you need" so back to partying. it's such a different drunk than standard booze/beer and i really can't explain it. good times though, no doubt but i got a ride back to my place and i was loopy when i got back for a little while. this was no later than 12am. last thing i remember is getting back and laying on the couch for a little bit watching tv then i'm waking up at 6am with the light still on and i'm in my bed. i'm dehydrated as f@#k and i don't remember going to bed and now i can't get back to sleep

long story short......if you try it watch the hell out

Tried some that a friend had got in Tennesse, very smooth. Only took a few sips as I've heard plenty of stories of it sneaking up on you.

there are many volatiles (low boiling points) and some are even in the alcohol group that distill out when the process is not narrow. Have fun:

I've never had that kind of reaction, but I never drank it with any more than a few beers. First of all, hopefully it was completely clear. Second, If you were to put it in a spoon and light it, it should have no flame. You will feel the heat and see it evaporating, that's it. Otherwise it is no good and probably poison. The guys I know that make it make it with a little peach or lime. The intensity it picks up from the fruit is amazing. Another thing to try is to soak fruit in it like grapes or strawberries, take them out and put them in the freezer. They won't freeze, they're delicious, and they'll get you drunk quick. Have fun, be safe

My Father has a friend that distills peach moonshine. That stuff is super smooth, but it will mess you up with the quickness.

This is all you need to know about drinking things like moonshine:

"Poor quality alcohols contain, in addition to pure ethanol, butylic alcohol, methyl alcohol and pentanols, amongst other things. Pure ethanol evaporates from the lungs almost immediately, while amyl alcohol, for instance almost never evaporates at human body temperature. Instead, it accumulates in the body."

There is a reason it's legal to brew your own beer but not make your own vodka.
