More Interesting Test Answers
One of the joys of teaching mathematics in college is the never ending stream of interesting, often humorous, answers to test questions that one gets to read. Here are a couple from the midterm I just graded, in response to a question about comparing two interest rates, one compounded quarterly and one compounded continuously:
[one] . . . is compounded quarterly (3 times a year) . . . .
. . . the one that is compounded continuously adds interest every chance it gets . . . .
