actually, he had already proposed over the phone, she accepted, and he gave her the ring when he got there. said he ended up out $1900.
another user called "BS", and he posted a pic and said he could post the emails and AOL logs to prove it. i guess he REALLY wanted everyone to believe he's an idiot.
he's a regular user too, so i don't think he was trolling. surprised it got deleted, but there were alot of replies when i first read it, and it was only the 2nd day.

A word about meeting girls online -real experience

I know its not car related (well it started as, but at the end you see that it is), but we are on the internet and I know a lot of us "chat" with "girls".
Okay where do i start. I have been playing an online game for a real long time, and i havent been around on the zcar forums much because i was so involved in this incident. Anyways long story short, i met a girl from SFNET (the game). She lives in New York in USA. I am from sacramento, California.
I had been talking to her on the phone for about 5 months, and on mirc/aim(aol)/msn. I was a loser and i was in love with this girl. She seemed so perfect, everything was fine... until the day i actually got to her city.
I flew there, ive spent probably 1500 total in expenses related to her. The first day that i got there, i called her and she said she couldnt come over (this was the plan, that i get a room and she comes over so that two lovers could.... yeah) and so i had to figure out how to get to a place, in a very alien city. But i did anyway, it cost about 40 bucks total. I saw her, we went to see the new starwars but she brought her friend along. i guess she was uncomfortable, not that she shouldve been as we had planned out everything, discussed every little detail. There was simply no reason to be. But i let it go and she promised to come over the next day.
Well the next morning, she called and said she couldnt come over cuz of her parents and after a discussion (heated) and her friend telling me off, i decided ok fine ill go see her. When i got there we hung out at a mall and that was about it really. There wasnt any intimate stuff, not when her heinous bitch of a friend was around all the time. Her friend and I got into an argument because she started yelling at me (her friend yelling) and i just didnt wanna take it anymore, I didnt say much, i just ignored her friend. Anyways towards the end, she promised to come over the next day and try her best to find a way to see me. I was going to be in the city for 4 nights, 5 days. I am a sap so i actually gave her an engagement ringi had proposed to her on the phone a few months ago already (and she had said yes). So as you can see, this situation was very serious (atleast from my side)
The third day, she couldnt. We hung out with a mutual friend from SF (the game) and went to a Comedy club. It was fun and when it was over i acompanied her on a train to her place. This city i went to is huge, so i spent about a total of $140 in travelling expenses over the 3 days. We had a little fun on the train but thats about it. This time her friend wasnt there so i actually got some time with her. But that was the end of that.
The fourth day she didnt even bother calling me, she actually said she called but she lied. She wrote an email wanting to break up and then on aim told me that she had been lying about her feelings, about her mom being dead, and that she did cheat on me when she went on vacation with her family. She had sex with some random stranger, yet she never did anything with her lover. How sad is that? but anyways, she admitted to be a pathological liar and so that was it. I spent the next two days watching TV, Staring at the wall cuz i had run out of money and i didnt wanna put more on my credit card.
When i got home, i found out that she had been talking trash about me on SFNET, trying to say that i made her feel like i was a kidnapper/rapist. Well just to let yall know, she was on the phone with me when i was buying condoms and she was VERY aware of the hotel that i had gotten, infact she had all the details.
Also as i was erasing all the links about her/ and pictures etc etc from my computer i came across her old webcam link. And well it was updated, and it looks like she has been doing webcam adult shows for random strangers. I looked at the guest book and the dates of the things were may 24th to today.. Meaning that the time i was suffering in the city, abandoned and all alone, she was at home doing shows for people online. Thats just wrong.
I totally trusted this girl with everything. She seemed so perfect, she would call me late at nights when i got off work just to say hi and ask if i was ok, and little cute things. Suffice it to say, this girl in real life was NOT the girl on the phone who i fell in love with. The reason why I am posting this is because it began here (online), and i want everyone else to be VERY careful. I dont want anyone to go through what I have. Thanks for reading, i know it was long but If i help even one person be aware of things like this, it was worth writing this up.
Flame me all u want. Im 23, I am stupid. But atleast I know that you will be more careful. I spent 120 hours in NY and got to spend 30 mins alone w the girl, and she turned out to be a vicious monster, Lied about everything. An example would be that she said her mom was dead, but her mom wasnt. She lied about all the little details, the time her dad abused her, to the time she had panic attacks, to her words.
Analyzing this I came to the conclusion that its easy to setup an illusion and then keep it up. My friend told me that because she was lying, she thought that i would be lying too and id actually never "show".. But this turned out to be a waste of my time, my money that couldve gone in my car. There you go, now it is car related. She caused me to waste all the money i was going to spend on my car! So people. DONT DO THAT.. lol.
