It's so very true. I started networked gaming with Duke3d over a modem connection and Battledrome at 2400 baud . Since then gaming has taken a whole new character. I think I enjoy the strategy online games a little more than 1st person shooters simply because there's always that high pinger saying that you are winning because you are lpb (I was usually on the winning side ).

Anybody addicted to MW4?

My favorites were UnrealTournament (it stole a year of my life) and Deus EX. UT is an absolutely incredible game, much better (IMHO) than Quake 3. Deus EX is a thinking man's shooter, with strategy and preparation being important.

Onimusha for PS2 took a month of my life, but it was worth it.

I was addicted to coin-operated games in the early eighties. Ever play Joust, Defender, Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Missile Command, Centipede and the like for so long on one quarter the arcade closed and kicked you out? Sure you spent small fortunes getting that good but then you found a zen-like state. Oh, and I'm old enough to have been addicted to, and a local champ, at Pong. Those were the days of cheap addictions...

Penforhire I still play those games from time to time on emulators. Nothing like the arcade or the original Atari which supported a lot of them, but it'll do me over.

Ha! That's funny. (they were closing while you played)
I played at the local arcade during high school so much they ended up hiring me!!
What a great summer job for a game addict!!
I still play MajorHavoc (in my game room) at least once a week! That's my all time favorite!
How about pinball??? Anyone ???
I recently picked up a Theater of Magic arcade pin.

I'm thinking about building an emulator game. That's a PC inside an arcade game cabinet running just about every video arcade game ever made!

Gotta love arcade games!!
