Default Motion sickness aids?

Hey all

I'm going on a scuba diving trip at the end of the month and while I usually don't get motion sickness, I want to get something to prevent it so I won't have to worry about it at all since I will be on a boat a lot of the time.

Has anyone tried anything that is excellent? I'm concerned about drowsiness as a side effect, and because I'll be in the water most of the time, I'm wondering if a patch will hold up.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you!

I Scuba too and motion sickness is usually a problem with me. On our last trip though I learned to start taking Dramamine a few days before I needed it. This allowed my system to get used to it and it performed flawlessly, even in 4-6' swells.

I understand the patch works well...I just don't like things sticking on me.

try sea bands. they use accupressure and don't have any drug side effects.

Dramamine II (meclizine HCl) works quite a bit better than Dramamine, which is the same ingredient in Benadryl as well as most OTC sleep aids (Tylenol PM, Simply Sleep, etc.)
