Thats the problem, firefox users dont need removal programs, since most of hte bugs are written to get buy the flaws in IE. If they cant get past FireFox they dont need to be removed.

When I was using IE, I had to run those programs almost twice a week. Since then I run them once a month and usually they come up with nothing.

And as for me pluggin "Firesomething" I'll do it again, right now its called...

"Mozzilla Lightningsalamader" this extention does nothing othr than bring a smile to your face.

^ I am in complete agreement that FireFox is less susceptible to spyware than IE. But I don't believe IE to be as much of a liability as many suggest. I use it at work and at home, and rarely need to run spyware removal programs. Granted, at work I'm behind a firewall, but at home, I'm not. All I'm saying is that it is entirely possible to use IE productively and without hassle. Programs like Pest Patrol help immensely on those infrequent occasions when you do need to get rid of malware.

Firefox/Mozilla do more than just help with spyware and popups. IE has a million security holes and Microsoft is slow to patch them, if they patch them at all. Mozilla has had security issues on occasion but rarely to the extent of an IE issue and the patch is usually available within hours of the exploit being made public. Forget the popups and adware/spyware benefits. Get Mozilla or Firefox to protect your privacy and your PC from the security issues of IE.

The SP2 fix has worked well on my home machine. (...so far!) I'll have to check out Mozilla sometime, I continue to hear good things.

I have Safari on my Mac, and nothing but Mozilla on my PC. I have told my mom to switch, but I dunno, she doesn't want to.
