I notice you don't have the adblock extention. It is my favorite. It does what its name suggests.

to make previous extensions work:

type about:config in the address bar

Now type app.extensions.version in the filter box

Change the version to something like 0.9 to trick Firefox into thinking you've got an older version of the browser.

Most, but not all, extensions will work with this trick.

Legal disclaimer: use at your own risk , although I haven't heard of any problems using this trick.

Extensions I like:

statusbar clock - clock that shows up in the status bar

ieview - you can right click a link and tell it to open in IE. This is useful for those rare (and getting rarer) occasions when you happen upon a page that is optimized for IE.

bugmenot - bypasses registration requirement for many websites, especially news sites.

Yea that works for all my extensions just fine. Some people in the mozillazine forums have reported problems, but it's usually minor.

The middle mouse button defaults to open in a new tab, but you can change that to whatever you want.

Middle button is actually just pressing both buttons at once if that isn't too difficult mv.

My most valuable would definitely be (in no particular order)

IEview - listed above
BBcode - adds an option to bbcode either a highlighted selection or something from your clipboard eg img tags
Tab x - adds an 'x' in the top right of the tab marker (not the screen just the tab) that allows you to close the thread. This ones good if you're trying to keep the mileage down on your mouse
Undo Close tab - Very handy save going back through the history should you accidently close a tab.
Reload every - good concept if you're waiting on a response but I've just got it recently and I'm not too sure how well it works.

Thanks for that tip strike, I'll try it on my laptop before I update my desktop, strange thing is like I said they worked for pr but not the full release

Welcome to the official Firefox extension thread
