This is the Network Installation Package. It's a pretty big file at more than 250mb. You can wait later when the Automatic Update one comes out. This one will be a lot smaller in size.

The automatic update one will take forever it downloads in small packets.. besides 270meg aint that bad =) hehe for people who cant wait and Want It Now !

yea i saw these on the bit torrents lately... not sure why everyone is rushing to get it.. its not like SP1 broke down.. and SP2 is basically not finalized.. so its beta.. ehhe.. theres a reason why MS didnt release it yet... its due for next week or so.. i think i can wait on this one for a "finished" product...

but a couple of my friends said the built in firewall works much better than the previous XP firewall... much like zonealarm... we'll see..

This is the Final release (*NOT BETA*)Microsoft finished this last week. It has Pop UP Blocker!!!!

MS has already realease it to OEMs, the public release will come soon. I personally am in no hurry to install it. You won't find many corporations installing it for a little while either.

Will a pop up blocker stop IE from being the most insecure browser out there? If you don't mind d/l'ing a 250 meg beast like SP2 you should go out and get Mozilla which comes in at about 10 meg. Oh, and Mozilla has had pop up blocking for over a year......
