Default My Alienware box came in... (pics)

Show up Friday before last.

Nerds like black.

Blue is nice, too.

The included a restore CD, build docs and benchmarks.

Everything's put together well. No generic parts that I can tell.

My impressions? It's a very well built system. It's a screamer. They did a good job.

Ironically, since getting the rig I've been spending a whole lot of time on the computer discussion groups, and with my recently expanded knowledge about modern bleeding edge comsumer computer, I could spec a similar or better machine for at least $1000 less. Putting it together would be easy, I just didn't do enough research beforehand. Going back to my original specs for custom building, they still add up to nearly an Alienware box. Weird.

Cool

I almost bought one of those but bought a Dell instead (mistake). Look forward to hearing what you think of the new box.

BTW, what are you going to do with bad boy?

What are you doing with your old computer? I know someone (cough, cough... Kirk) who needs a newer one than his dinosaur!

Thats a very nice Antec case, I saw them at Fry's. If I didn't need a bit more drive room I'd pick one of those up myself.
Maybe if I build yet another system...
