When I lived at home I told people I lived with room mates.

"Hey guys! Party at my room mates house this weekend!"
"Are they going to be home?"
"Yeah man but it's cool as long as we aren't loud past 11:00!"

so what's your take on parents putting a down payment on a house and the kids paying the mortgage/taxes/utilities/etc.? Because thats my situation now and I feel it is "my house."

I would see it as a very nice house warming gift.

I'll stand my own ground. Been living on my own since i started college. Paying rent/utils, paid off my vehicle, paying off school loans, and now working my way to buy my own house.

Its a freakin s2k not 911 turbo, people can get use one for ~20k these days. that the same price as a new civic, and i see thousands of teens driving new civics and accords.
