That's pretty crazy. I'm curious as to what you can see with that. HUrry it up with the pictures!

Telescope was around 200 dollars I believe. Its just a starter to get my feet wet.

If I find to like this hobby, I'll probably upgrade to the meade 130mm telescope that has GOTO built in. It would be perfect for doing astrophotograpy.

The CCD camera was ~270 dollars. It'll last me a long time and will probably go through a fair share of telescopes

I'll post some pictures hopefully this weekend if the weather is clear / if my camera arrives.

The University of Denver has a big telescope that they open to the public once a month. The telescope geeks (I mean this in a good way, like we are car geeks) like to bring their equipment to share in the experience. Most will let you take a look. I was looking through a telescope as the guy was navigating with his laptop.

"Ok now you should be able to see Saturn and its rings. That small blue dot on the right is Uranus."

I lost it. I could not stop laughing and had to leave. Yes, I am an immature mid-30's juvenile.

Some Rear Window type action going on?

Definitely post some pics, lets see what it can do. I've also thought about picking one up for fun. Took an astronomy class in college too, it was really neat.
