My windows media player will not work Help!!!
Guys I have windows xp and my windows media player was working fine, then all of the sudden it stopped working and when I click on an icon it will not open nor play any video/music links that I click on that I need media player to view. Sorry hope this makes since, I am not a computer person.
Any help would be great.

that happened to my friend once. His media player was an upgraded version we had downloaded from Microsoft's website after installing the OS. We ended up having to remove the new version using the add/remove program option in control panel. Then we could use Windows Update to update the original version back to what he had had. Then it started working again. Microsoft blows IMO
i had the same problem. Hopefully, you have system restore enabled, and you can simply go back to the time where windows media player worked.
start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore
then pick a date where windows media player still worked.
thats it.
