I was told that expensive Chevron gasoline last longer, as in it gives more mileage, than other cheaper brands ie Arco.

 

I don't think so. My g/f just complained to me that Chevron gas lasts shorter than other gas, such as Arco. I don't really know though, so can't judge.

 

I highly doubt it. I know when they started using a different formula around here to help keep the air clean, I got lousy mileage in my Integra. I couldn't see how me burning more feul per mile was going to help the air quality. Especially in the Integra which was an escellent exhaust emmissions engine.

 

I've been told by 3 Hohda service mgrs that ARCO gas is crap and VTEC doesn't like.

 

I have put over 90K on my Accord with all Arco gas with no problems. I also run Arco in the S2000 on occasion with no problems. The difference between most pump gas is all marketing hype for the most part. If Chevron does a good job convincing you their Techron stuff works they can get you to swallow a higher price.
