Why should I register a .name domain?

Has anyone done this yet?

Any thoughts/opinions?

 

And what would you name it?

 

I haven't done it yet, but thought it was a pretty good idea to expand the internet space. You could promote yourself and put a resume up on your own website if you were looking for a job.

 

It depends on how you are using the .name

I've bought

honda.s2000.name

albert.einstein.name

thomas.edison.name

These sites will be used to get hits from the search engines.
I'm using this new domain as a back door into top ten listings in
all of the search engines to increase traffic to my web sites.
