Default SEO Software

I know there's alot of other web designers on the forum, but i'm going to be purchasing some Search Engine Optimization software in the near future to add to my offerings, and am open to input from the community.

Any recommendations, good or bad, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

sorry. i'm actually a web designer, and several clients inquire about how they can get their sites that I am building to rank on the first page of the major search engines. i know there are severl Search Engine Optimization programs to help with site rankings and placements.

I would rather have my company get this money than farming it out.

Gotcha.

Not sure if this is the case anymore but i know search engines in the past looked for the number of instances a certain word or phase showed up. If they still use this method you can create a blank layer with keywords. Again not sure, but if you use dreamweaver, there may be a pluggin.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen the code for search engines? (basically just hash tables) Absolutely amazing.

You could search how to google bomb and then do it for them at an hourly rate?
That is all about sites linking to you for certain reasons and your site linking to others for certain reasons. Those reasons being keywords like Gink said, but definetly search for GoogleBomb.

If you get Google to put you at top, many of the other web search engines use similar code and they will link it as well.

Ask Gregg Ginsburg (forgot his screen name) he's a web and database guru. I'll bet he can help you.

SEO software is a waste of money. Best thing to do is learn how to properly optimize your website on your own. Content, content, content is the key. For Google, concentrate on content and back links.

from my understanding alot of site ranking is based on the anchor tag that links to your site. utilizing SEO software automates the process of getting these partner links and proper anchor tags, no?

contacting dozens of sites individually for each site i produce doesn't sound like a cost-effective way of doing things IMO.
