Need fast, accurate legal advice... please.
Like I posted in another thread, a friend and I have figured out we're 99.99% sure she got slipped a roofie last night by a guy. She got his phone number and "name". She could probably still identify him, or at least her friend could.
I'm telling her to visit the police and get a urine/blood test ASAP and turn the bastard in, even though she got home safe. She's freaked because she's done drugs *twice* in the past month and doesn't want to be charged if those show up.
Thoughts? Is she risking anything, or will they overlook trace amounts of something else for the sake of catching a potential rapist?

if she has drugs in her blood then she could potentially -- although it's unlikely -- risk getting a dui if the police want to charge her, but that doesn't seem to be an issue given that you were going to report her anyway

It's like this, if he did slip her a roofie, can you prove that he did? Did anyone see him do it? If she has done any other drugs, maybe she was experimenting with GHB or whatever is in her bloodstream? I don't think you have much of a case. I am not a lawyer though. I think the best revenge would be to find him again and snap a picture of him. Then make a banner with his picture with a caption that says, "this guy will slip you a roofie and try to rape you." Paste it up all around the bar he hangs out at.
