My suggestion? An M16 airsoft gun with full auto spray. It'll be fun and you'll definitely not be scared of them any more (unless you're also scared of airsoft guns). As long as you keep the muzzle down, you won't blow up anything important in your house...

Cockroaches don't bother me too much.....It's these bad boys that freak the hell out of me.

Their called camel crickets, and they somehow make their way into my house, namely my room. The buggers can get rather large, I'd say 4 inches or so, their silent so you never know if your going to step on one....and worst of all they don't die. I've crushed them and sprayed bug spray on them, nothing seems to kill them. Just thinking about them makes me sick.

Cockroaches aren't too fond of us either. If they ever touch a human, they immediately will flee the scene and go 'wash' themselves. Apparently they find us as well...
How do you know this?

BACK FROM THE DEAD!

I'm traveling to Asia next week and my foremost concern is cockroaches. I'm afraid, man! So very afraid! Why aren't there "pussyroaches" instead?

I'll bring a can of roach spray, but is there anything electrical that repels roaches, such as electrical mosquitoes repellant device?

Kill all the cockroaches you want, when mankind is gone they'll still be around and take over the earth.

I don't want to kill them, I just want them to stay far away from me.

I'd imagine its a pretty common fear. When I moved out here to Hawaii I never realized how many more roaches I'd see. I got bombed the other night (could barely walk home, too many beers, too many shots of yukon jack, 2 day hang over kind of thing) and there was a roach running around the place. Scurried under a bed, up the wall all over the place (at least I think, the room may have been spinning at that point), when my roommate grabs the paper towel he had been using as a napkin (nothing better than little pizza's when you're hammered), grabs the thing, and throws it out on the patio. I asked him if he actually let the little bastard live, he said he crushed it first.

Thing is, I REALLY don't like cockroaches, but that roommate, he's petrified of 'em. Can't say enough for liquid courage when it comes to harmless insects.
