can't you just click on the "direct link" option on the left and it gives you this?

Duh, are you trying to make this easy?

For some reason when I tried to do that on another website it wouldn't work - I had to manually change the URL.

If it hasn't been deleted from your browser cache, yes. You need to locate the folder in which your browser caches web pages, and search for all files containing the filename of the image in question.
