I understand, let me clarify.
1. Show breeders SAY they want to perfect breed. So they put a champ winner with another champ winner (mind you it could be a dog show of tiny perportion)
they have a litter of say 8. 3 pups at MOST are deemed SHOW quality (which the Breeder will NOT sell or sell for 3000 plus. If you get lucky enough to buy, you sign a contract saying, all kinds of training, showing, etc.
the other 5 are deemed pet quality. The dogs are perfect except not show quality (its still an Akita!!!!!) they sell for 1500 give or take (DEAD serious) but you sign another type of contract that basically says: in 6 months pup must go to basic training, AND it is spade or neutered, OR you will not recieve AKC papers!
WTF good is AKC paper if dog cant reproduce???

I am from school, that put 2 good akita's together, and make a good litter, sell the pups too "GOOD" people deserving of the breed! sell for 400-750 with AKC papers.

The ANAL show type breeder reminds me of the type of person who says NO mod to a car could ever improve it over stock.

Daigoro's breeder was from Las Vegas (where I used to live) he is a PHd of Psychology, and Daigoro's litter was his 22nd. He thinks like I think, and I passed his Pysch profile (or he would not have sold to me)

So I want 1 female pup, average akita litter is 9!. 8 times average between 400-750 is 575. So say 500. 8x500 = 4000. no take out trouble, maybe 50 in fuel to me, vet cost.. the person still makes at worse 2500. NOT a horrible deal.

Just want people to understand, I do agree with you to extent Jon, so do not take offense.

Most people want a quality pet, ANY Akita, is the ultimate body gaurd, Child protector, and friend.
