I recently got a ups tracking number from a company that read (not literally as I replaced the numbers with 0s)

1Z 000 YF0 00 0000 000 0

the ups website isnt picking it up and they say to check the format and list the following format options:
1Z 999 999 99 9999 999 9
9999 9999 999 9
T999 9999 999

My question is, should the YF be in there, or is this a bogus tracking number?

Perhaps it hasn't been scanned in by UPS yet as picked up?

2nd and 3rd set of numbers are the company account number

 

yup

shipper numbers/accounts can be any combination of 6 letters and numbers

 

how soon did you get this tracking number? you wont get any tracking detail on ups.com until the driver who picks up your package returns to the building and the information from his board is downloaded.

 

almost looks lik a VIN

 

Yea it finally came up and the package should be here soon. Thanks guys, I was just worried because the company had jerked me around a little at first.
