CD drives do not just appear. Did you install anything like Damon Tools? For that matter anything that would emulate a CD drive?

In Windows Explorer right-click on any drive, click Properties. In the dialog box that appears click the Hardware tab.

This will give you a list of devices. What names do you see for the three CD drives?

hey thanks for the replies. Well heres my situation:

I have a DVD drive ( D: ) and a CD-RW drive ( E: ). But recently after my friend played around with the computer i have a second DVD drive ( F: ). This things doesn't even exist. For example I can right click my D: in My Computer and use the eject command and it will work but if I tried the same for the F: nothing happens yet both drives share the same properties. So i have no idea whats going.

I NEED HELP WITH MY LAPTOP!

Why does it sometimes go back a page or two (internet) when I don't even touch the touch-pad? And sometimes when I'm typing, the "flashing pointer", where it indicates the location of the letters being typed, sometimes keeps jumping to another location? Are all lap tops like that?

yella... Does your laptop have a touch pad? The touchpad could be going bad and sensing movement or pressure while you are typing. This is a pretty common issue with touch pads.
