Need suggestions for a good Cash-Back Visa card
We have decided that we should look for some kind of rewards credit card. The mileage type cards are interesting, but based on our past travel history, we would probably not get too much use out of it. I think the best solution is a simple cash back type of card.
I'd prefer a Visa or Mastercard, since AmEx is not as widely accepted. No annual fee would be great, and maybe even an balance transfer bonus. Low introductory APR is not too big a deal since we usually pay off each month entirely. Any suggestions or personal experiances? Looking for feedback good and bad!

Seeing how you and your wife drive S2000's, I would guess you do not have kids......but if you did...... I have a Chase Toys R Us card that gives you 1% back in Geoffery Dollars.
I charge everything...1% back plus 1/2 a month to pay it off. ...... I have no idea what the interest is, we pay it off monthly.
What about a GM card...you could get a grandprix with some real torque.

I have a Nordstrom Visa card. 1% back in Nordstrom certificates on all purchases, some higher percentage for Nordstrom purchases, double point bonuses during their sales. No annual fee. You can walk in to any Nordstrom store and pay your credit card there (helpful if you forget to mail your check until the due date). Excellent customer service. But you'll only benefit if you shop regularly at the store - I buy most of my shoes and makeup from them so the certificates are as good as cash for me.

I recently got a Bank One Free Cash Rewards Visa card, it gives you 1 point for every dollar you spend. Every time you hit 2,000 pts, it gives you a choice of $20 cash back or gift certificate. Also, the first time you use the card, they give you 1,000 pts.

Spiderman, thanks for the tip, I'll look into it further. I don't shop at Nordstrums, nor Toys'R Us (someone had to tell me who Geofrey was) but thanks for the suggestions. Anyone else have any good cards they's like to share?

How about the Sony Card? For each dollar you spend, you get an equal amount of credits. If you buy any Sony item, you get triple credits. You also get 5000 credits just for signing up.
The credits can then be used to buy stuff in the Sony Rewards Catalog. Little stuff like DVD's and CD's are around 1500-2000 credits. PS2 games are around 4000-5000. I suppose if you manage to accumulate 369,000 credits, you could buy that 40" WEGA TV!
