A while ago I read on another board that the guy had to take off his exhaust because the neighbors complained enough to the police where they waited for him and gave him a ticket for the exhaust

I had an issue just this morning. I parked my other car about 2 inches over the line in a parking spot at my apt complex. I parked this way because of the asshat next to me parking over the line. I go outside to get into my S and I see a note on my VW windshield. I go check it out and it says "can you not take up 2 spots next time you park your car please?" Ijust said F it and drove away in the S. No time to move it anyway, I was late for work as it is

My S is stock when it comes to noise, so my neighbors don't seem to mind it that much, in fact the older couple on the other side of the street ask me how I like it every time they come outside.

I have no issues with my immediate neighbors. However, the neighbors down the street are a different story.

The guy always gives me shit or the dirty looks. I'll drive by and he'll yell "SLOW THE **** DOWN!" It annoys me to all hell that he thinks he can go around telling people what to do.

Note, I never speed in my community, I keep my revs down, and I don't start crap with people. I know there are children in the area and people trying to sleep when I come home so I have no idea what this dudes problem is.

He was so bad that when I hosted the metro tech day last summer (it was possibly the largest private meet in internet history and I had a valid permit from the town), the dick had the nerve to call the cops on us a few times saying we were being loud, etc; the cops didn't help him out as we wern't. I did get him back though. He hosted a party of his own. I decided to call the cops and say they were serving alchole to underage kids and kids were racing up and down the street coming from that party.

Needless to say, he has stoped bothering me since...

The only problems I've ever had is people telling me to slow down. I just ignore them as I'm going (at most) the speed limit. I do slow down where kids are playing in a driveway/street etc but I've had power walkers and dog walkers tell me to slow down when they are on the sidewalk, and that's not a "slow down" situation for me.

However, reacting to them (flipping them off, etc) is just going to needlessly escalate the situation, not to mention it's not a real mature response to a complaint.

I have a very loud exhaust, but I cruise into my garage and make as little noise as possibe. If i pass by cars with alarms i hit the clutch. If you show peopel respect, you will get it back.
keep in mind that were not speeding at all... jus cruising.. but it seems like everytime she pass by... she jus have something to say..... ur right... no disrespect.... but shes disrespecting us if that old lady keeps telling us what to do specially when were not speeding.... jus got fed up thats all

One of my neighbors is a freaken dick.

When he first moved in and I was washing my car, acura RL, he goes and says "don't you have school? why are you washing your parent's car?" Mind you, i don't even live with my parents. Ever since then I never give him any respect or say hi.

A few months ago, we had some friends over..I guess one of them parked there cars on the street where the curb section is shared by both houses. More so on our side of the house though.

Next morning he comes over to complain and says that we have to park 2 ft away from his property line, it's the law and if we don't comply he can tow our cars. I'm like "f' you, tow my shit and you pay for it."

Then he goes and moves his mail box that was in front of his house to that little area so now we don't park there during the weekdays anymore cause the mailman is one lazy f'er and doesn't get out of his truck to deliver the mail.

I don't know what the neighbor's problem is, we RARELY park there. We can fit up to 4 cars in our driveway and only time theres a car parked on the street in that area is when we have people over (rarely). Dude is never home too...
